The album also indicated future projects for Count Basie, who was later to enjoy considerable success working with Frank Sinatra, Fred Astaire and Sammy Davis Jr. The success of 'Basie Swings Bennett Sings' led to a second collaboration between the two artists, 'Strike Up The Band'.
