Although chiefly remembered as an actor, a profession he proved especially adept at, Danny Kaye was also an exceptional singer. This is not surprising, given that his early break in showbiz came with a Broadway debut in Straw Hat Revue. When he subsequently moved to Hollywood, many of his most successful film ventures were those that called for him to sing.
This album contains a wide variety of songs and musical styles, each given the distinctive Danny Kaye touch. Equally at home effecting accents or tongue twisters (he is officially recognised as being one of the fastest tongue twister singers!), as 'Mad Dogs And Englishmen', 'I Belong To Glasgow' and 'Anatole Of Paris' would confirm.
